Critical goals associated to this project include close coordination between major business functions to align on requirements, design, network connectivity (LAN and WAN), and buildout of multiple SAP colocation datacenters for video and access control systems to support hardening of physical security presence at critical SAP facilities.
Location - Newtown Square (preferably bc they may working with international) or Bellevue
They will not be onsite, but may need to go into the office periodically.
Travel may be required - will be discussed on Manager/Supplier Req Intake Call
Standard work week, OT is very rare and ONLY if pre-approved by SAP manager first.

OVERVIEW OF PROJECT SCOPE AND ASK:
This position request is to establish a contracted Senior Project Manager to drive the delivery of the Global Physical Security datacenter project throughout 2021 and 2022. Critical goals associated to this project include close coordination between major business functions to align on requirements, design, network connectivity (LAN and WAN), and buildout of multiple SAP colocation datacenters for video and access control systems to support hardening of physical security presence at critical SAP facilities.
Our goal is to establish and provide best-in-class physical security services, technology, and compliance controls to address the challenges of global threats to SAP’s people, assets, and brand. At a minimum, the following commitments have been made and this resource will be key in helping drive and hold us accountable toward these goals.
This initiative includes the following components of work
o Define and establish WAN network connectivity from DC locations to head end Converged Cloud regional locations.
o Define and establish internal LAN connectivity between DC local hardware and video surveillance/access control equipment.
o Manage the installation and setup of all required Global Physical Security video and access control device equipment via management of various 3rd party system integrators/suppliers.
JOB EXPECTATIONS:
Desired key skills include complex technology project management, organizational change management, risk and issue tracking and remediation, strong communication experience, and ability to help navigate a complex organizational landscape. We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking individual, with a hunger for delivery and a collaborative mindset. While this is not an engineering role, this project management team member must be technically oriented and capable of driving network design and deployment projects with varying levels of network engineers across different teams. Experience managing the design and deployment of complex networks is a huge plus, as well as a strong familiarity with access and video surveillance systems.
Critical expectations for this role include the following:
• Ability to plan, set commitments, and act to deliver strategic programs for SAP and achieve those goals.
• Ability to manage the work of others (influence management) and help coordinate priorities and work schedules in a least disruptive manner.
• Drive and ensure top and mid-level leadership alignment on goals, budget, timing, and execution across multiple SAP functions
• Drive detailed requirements and design to ensure network connectivity is properly sized and designed for physical security needs, as well as ensuring alignment with respective stakeholders and owners.
• Drive the creation and approval of a support model for both network equipment deployed as well as any server infrastructure deployed within the SAP datacenter landscape.
• Ensure the creation of detailed bids from suppliers, where appropriate, and work with GPS management to include these bids in project financials and 2022 budgeting asks.
• Drive the design, budgeting, tracking, and management reporting of both WAN connectivity and internal datacenter(s) LAN network buildout and coordination with respective stakeholders and integrators
• Drive the budgeting and tracking and Ordering/Equipment as well as shipping/receiving and installation activities with applicable integrators in each region.
• Management of project schedule, risks and issues, as well as standard project management reporting and management.
• Professional demeanor and ability to manage multiple teams/team members under pressure.
• Able to work after hours and weekends for critical issues (when required).
• Daily hands on leader who will help project team members identify, understand risks, and remove constraints on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to keep project on schedule.
Experience and Educational Requirements
10+ years managing complex multi-faceted projects with high level executive visibility.
5-8 years’ network design or management experience.
Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in technology or engineering fields.
Project management trained or certified.
Ability to pass background verification.
English language required.
ESTIMATED DURATION OF CONTRACT:
August 2021 through June 2022 (estimated 10-month assignment, however assignment may end early depending on the successful delivery).
