Responsibilities:Position Summary:
Incumbent provides strategic technical leadership on clinical, financial, research and FHIR/API data integration projects. Designs and builds system interfaces for clinical ADT, Results, Orders and other highly complex interface types. Participates in setting coding standards and the overall strategy for data integration projects. Implements enhancement requests and maintains existing interfaces in our production environment. Research other technologies to provide reliable and proven solutions to integration needs. Additionally, serves as a resource for other interface developers on integration technology, standards, and workflow and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
- 5 + years' experience in healthcare interface programming
- 2 + years' experience programming in the Corepoint integration engine
- 2+ years' experience with Epic Bridges
- Extensive knowledge of the HL7 2.x messaging standard
- Strong understanding of FHIR/API/Web-Services
- Knowledge of Epic Vendor Services
- Experience with Epic Data Courier
- Write clean, readable and easily maintainable code
- Adherence to internal coding and process standards
- Strong understanding of the interface implementation process
- Leadership skills to influence decisions and move initiatives forward
- Concurrently manage multiple projects of various sizes
- Maintain a work-pace appropriate to the workload
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate appropriate customer service skills
- Establish and maintain good working relationships
- Work effectively with IT staff and users, internal and external to the organization
- Problem solve interface issues of various complexities
- Translate complex concepts to a novice level
- Be a self-starter and work both independently and in a team setting
- Participate in on-call rotation to support production interfaces
- Work occasional evenings or weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other IT discipline
- Knowledge of healthcare industry standards
- 1+ years experience implementing Epic FHIR applications
- 1+ years experience with Epic Data Courier Administration
- Supported Epic Updates including use of Nova Notes
- Understanding of CA CDPH state reporting requirements
- Experience integrating with HIE’s
- Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell
- Understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Understanding of ITIL
