Senior Loan Servicing Specialist (Roslindale)

TCB (The Cooperative Bank) has a full-time opportunity for a Senior Loan Servicing Specialist at our corporate headquarters in the heart of Roslindale village. This position reports to the AVP, Loan Servicing Supervisor and is responsible for the ongoing set-up and review of all new residential and commercial real estate, commercial and industrial loans and supporting the loan servicing team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the setup of all new residential and commercial real estate, commercial and industrial loans. Reviews loan approval summary and compares it against the loan. Reviews loan note for accuracy and compliance with rate and general lending policy and guidelines.
• Performs quality control reviews on all consumer loans, loan modifications, and renewals processed on the core system. Tracks and performs necessary maintenance.
• Review processing of all participation loan remittance. Completes the remittance worksheets and ensures that the payment and interest rates are processed according to the terms on the loan notes. Maintains accurate accounting on all participation loans. Works with the Accounting Department to balance general ledger accounts.
• Provides documentation expertise to the team, interpreting complex loan documents and processing the most complicated transactions. Handles escalated situations and provides problem resolution.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• A high school degree or GED is required.
• 3 – 5 years of similar or related experience, loan servicing experience highly preferred.
• Experience with COCC Insight preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $67,470 - $84,338 depending on experience (salaried position).
