DutiesSpecific duties include: - Makes recommendations to the business lines that may influence VBA policy and may change the direction of the agency's strategic plan and implementation of the initiatives.
- The incumbent serves as an Organization Change Management Analyst in Education Service.
- The incumbent will lead change management activity across the business lines within Education Service and will focus on implementing changes to business processes, systems and technology and job roles.
- Serves as an expert change management practitioner, advocate and liaison between VA, VBA, VACO business lines and Education Service.
- Provides expert procedural background involving change management theory and practice to other internal and external agencies regarding VBA policy and procedure relating to integration of VBA and the other agencies' information systems, benefits, and services to provide educational assistance programs to Veterans, Servicemembers, National Guard and Reserve members, and eligible dependents for their military service to the Nation.
- The incumbent serves as a research consultant when new information is released from VA, VBA, Congress and the military departments that may have an impact on external impact on educational assistance, and any other areas that are within Education Service's responsibility and internal impact on VBA and Education Service mission and organizational partnerships and operations.
- Provides senior executives with critical input pertaining to the development, implementation and assessment of strategic ongoing procurement and business plans.
- Identifies strategies for implementation of new and innovative programs aimed at highlighting and improving mission effectiveness.
- Track and reviews program surveys, GAO reports, OIG audits, special studies, regulations, project reviews and other reports to identify problem areas, inefficiencies, and inconsistencies in communications and/or operations.
- Undertakes long- and short-range research and studies program activities within the Education Service to support the organization's business goals and objectives.
- Develops PowerPoint presentations covering highlights of new material and providing practical applications and examples.
