The role of Senior Manager, Business Development will be supporting MedTech Surgery's Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery business as part of the J&J MedTech Surgery Business Development team. The position will collaborate with internal and external partners to identify, assess, develop, complete, and implement transactions and partnerships to drive growth and influence the direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Global Strategic Marketing and R&D to shape innovation strategy, assess external landscape and provide guidance on fit with platform strategy and identified unmet needs
- Collaborate across Business Development and with functional leaders to support transactions, including licensing, acquisition, co-development, commercial partnerships, equity investments, and other deal structures.
- Support and co-lead the business development process including target identification, opportunity assessment, due diligence, deal structuring, terms and contract negotiations, and integration planning.
- Ensure project teams are following appropriate healthcare guidelines, including Healthcare Compliance, Quality, and Regulatory.
- Partner closely with J&J Legal, Finance, Marketing and R&D on transactions, including but not limited to leading target valuation, due diligence, and contracting.
- Help internal leaders make informed strategic decisions. Provide suggestions and recommendations to senior leadership on new strategies, opportunities, and tactics.
- Deliver high quality oral and written presentations for J&J approvals.
- Maintain external relationships for the purpose of maintaining a strong pipeline of future opportunities for the business
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan . The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

- Experience and capabilities in finance, accounting, product development, and commercialization are preferred.
- Experience with corporate business development activities is preferred.
- History of working with clinicians, inventors, and other intellectual property generators is preferred.
- This role involves global responsibilities. Domestic and international travel may be required up to 20%.
