Your Next Career Opportunity – Senior Manager, Structural Engineering
The primary function of this position is to lead and supervise the Structural Team which consists of Engineers and Designers, and to provide technical leadership direction. This position is also responsible for coordinating the activities of the team to meet the production and quality goals set by management. The incumbent has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating technical assignments, ensuring standards and procedures are adhered to, and recommending process improvements. The Senior Manager, Structural Engineer plans approaches for team members on tasks involving non-standard engineering issues.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
Lead, develop and mentor Engineers and Designers for continuous improvement of engineering expertise, professional development and career path planning.
Perform analyses using hand calculations, tower analysis software and other accepted methods.
Implement and follow Quality Control procedures.
Exercise technical responsibility required within areas of technical competence for sealing engineering work performed by the
Structural team.
Generate required engineering reports, analyze the information, and make recommendations.
Provide reporting on the performance of the team, in accordance with formats provided by management.
Drive to meet production goals for structural analysis as well as A&E drawings.
Provide leadership on projects and answer structure-related inquiries from internal and external customers.
Design modifications for tower reinforcing, extensions and foundations; work with the designer staff in the development of modification drawings; check the accuracy of modification drawings and ensure quality standards are adhered to.
Work cross-functionally with peers and other departments to help minimize problems with workflow or changes that would impact the team and provides guidance to the team on rules and regulations on technical matters pertaining to structural engineering.
Complete specialized engineering assignments requiring complex calculations.
Assist in the selection of new design and analysis tools.
Stay abreast of new technical methods and developments in tower engineering.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing team members.
Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.
Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.
Create a culture that is consistent with the organization's focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organization's mission, vision and values.
Lead team members using a performance management and development focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field of study; Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field preferred;
and 5-10 years experience in structural engineering.
and 5-7 years experience in the communication tower design and analysis.
- Working knowledge of TIA/EIA-222 code and other relevant specifications required.
Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
Licenses in at least 7 states, or the ability to obtain them within six months.
Experience managing a team required.
Other National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveyors certification preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
Domestic Travel.
Valid Government Issued Driver's License.
