CME Associates is seeking a Senior Professional Municipal Engineer or (Junior) Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Howell, NJ. Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design and Analysis: Perform engineering analysis, design calculations, and preparation of construction documents for various municipal engineering projects, including municipal and county-owned parks and other public facilities, transportation, and utility infrastructure.
- Regulatory Compliance: Navigate local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes to secure approvals and ensure compliance with environmental, zoning, and safety requirements.
- Client Interaction: Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, project updates, and addressing client concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and other engineers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives and exceed client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License: Must hold a valid Professional Engineer license in the state of New Jersey or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in the design of municipal stormwater and wastewater systems, combined sewers and/or septic systems, site development, land planning, municipal and county roadways, construction administration and construction inspection. Experience with the review of land development applications is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as HydroCAD or project management software is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information to clients and team members effectively.
