Our Construction Management team is seeking a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer for work on various Infrastructure facilities projects. The Senior Project Mechanical Engineer will provide design compliance oversight for the construction of mechanical components in accordance with plan specifications and departmental guidelines in order to ensure that requirements regarding schedule, cost, and quality are met.
Responsibilities:- Provide oversight to ensure that the execution of mechanical work is in compliance with approved contracts.
- Oversee contractors' mechanical construction installation, testing, documentation and developing punch list of work.
- Monitor the execution and implementation of the mechanical portion of project schedule.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all mechanical project documents.
- Review mechanical plans and procedures periodically and institute changes when necessary.
- Provide support in reviewing all contractor-supplied mechanical documentation for completeness.
- Identify critical mechanical issues and make recommendations to the Project Manager.
- Review and comment on contractors' mechanical schedules.
- Provide assistance to the project team in meeting the overall project objectives.
- Prepare daily mechanical reports outlining progress of the work.
- Ensure that the company's safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Provide input regarding the mechanical project design process.
- Maintain effective lines of communication with all internal team members responsible for the project along with all general contractors and sub-contractors.
- Support development of the mechanical construction portions of EPC contracts and exhibits.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Minimum of 12+ years of relevant mechanical inspection experience working in heavy infrastructure and other complex transportation facilities.
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering, mathematics, construction, mechanical construction standards, and codes.
- Experience in HVAC, particularly large air distribution/ventilation systems, fans, filtration, insulation, instrumentation and control.
- Experience with plumbing and fire extinguishing and suppression systems, and with local transportation agencies is a plus.
- Performs heating/cooling calculations in Carrier HAP or Trane Trace.
- Performs system sizing calculations.
- Performs review of calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Prepares contract drawings and specifications, construction and design cost estimates, and technical reports.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,300 - $165,900 annually for this position and local market.
