ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management support for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking Senior Project Support Specialist to provide support to a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Job overview:
Provide administrative support to Roman Space Telescope (RST) project photography and engineering teams. The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will unveil the cosmos in ways that have never been possible before. With a field of view at least 100 times larger than Hubble’s, Roman will survey the sky 1,000 times faster than Hubble can while maintaining similar sensitivity and infrared resolution. Roman will look at billions of cosmic objects to explore how planets, stars, and galaxies form and develop over time.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and update office electronic files and records in the Technical Data Management System (TDMS) including adding photos and notes.
* Upload photos and associated metadata into TDMS.
* Organize photos into albums for Work Order Authorization (WOA) events.
* Watermark photos with export control banners as appropriate.
* Create file structures on servers to better facilitate mass photo uploads.
* Organize and create an inventory spreadsheet for all photography equipment. Partner with RST Project Support specialist to track inventory and support inventory audit.
* Support the WOA Closure Reviews; ensure metadata accuracy (i.e. dates, locations,) and verify albums are associated with correct
* Gather information and support the coordination of the quarterly validation and verification report to showcase incomplete or outstanding WOAs
* Support implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices for photo documentation and completion of WOA’s in the TDMS system. Ensure processes align with NASA and GSFC
* Collaborate with the Configuration Management team to ensure WOA’s are completed appropriately.
* Support the Engineering team by properly shredding and disposing of export-controlled documents.
* Additional responsibilities as needed.
* Experience with TDMS and Adobe Lightroom is a plus!
* Willingness to gain working knowledge of RST spacecraft hardware in order to identify imagery content.
* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to take direction from leadership and organize projects to meet multiple deadlines through prioritization.
* Outstanding customer service skills; must be proactive and responsive to customer requests. Ability to learn quickly and think critically to create innovative solutions.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, preferably Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities, have proactive communication skills with the ability to follow up, and produce quality work efficiently.
* Ability to work on site during normal business hours.
* Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years of experience or 7-8 years of experience in lieu of degree.

This posting is offering a pay range of $61,499 - $92,249 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
