Senior Property Accountant at Atrium

Our client is a growing real estate company in the Fort Lauderdale area seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their growing team. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k – $90k

Position Overview:

The Senior Property Accountant will handle all accounting and reporting aspects for assigned properties.

Responsibilities of the Senior Property Accountant:

• The Senior Property Accountant will analyze the general ledger, calculate accruals, and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and analyze variances.
• The Senior Property Accountant will provide monthly P&L commentary and variance analysis.
• Assist in the internal and external audits.
• The Senior Property Accountant will manage relationships and liaise with external customers (Operations and Finance teams and Auditors).
• Participate in projects to continue to improve close process efficiency and effectiveness.
• Utilize MRI to run monthly reports and to close properties.
• Record monthly accrual entries.
• Review and reconcile the general ledger.

Qualifications for the Senior Property Accountant:

• 5+ years of Accounting experience.
• Experience with MRI or Yardi is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and vlookups).

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting is required.
