This role is in oil & gas & offers a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation & a long-term career path! $80,000-$110,000 + bonus!
Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a knack for leadership?
As the Senior Property Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and timely completion of operational accounting closes. You'll supervise a team of property accountants, providing guidance and support on Production, Revenue, JIB, and reconciliations.
What You'll Do:
- Orchestrate and oversee the monthly close process for a designated group of assets.
- Review allocations and calculations, with a focus on revenue accuracy.
- Ensure all journals are properly documented and reviewed for seamless financial reporting.
- Perform in-depth analysis and reconciliations of general accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, production, JIB accounting, and more.
- Analyze account reconciliations, setting clear deadlines for resolving any discrepancies.
- Take ownership of special project requests from management and operations teams, ensuring successful completion.
- Coordinate external audit requests, facilitating clear communication and information exchange.
- Provide exceptional review, direction, and mentorship to your team, readily stepping in for support as needed.
- Manage additional oil and gas operational accounting tasks (details provided upon request).
Who You Are:
- A degreed accountant (Bachelor's or Master's) with 2-3 years of direct experience in Oil & Gas revenue accounting.
- A proven leader with 1-2 years of supervisory experience in Oil & Gas, preferably with revenue accounting teams.
- A Microsoft Office wiz, particularly Excel. Bonus points for experience with major ERP systems (SAP a plus).
- A clear and confident communicator who can effectively collaborate with all levels of management.
- A master of multitasking, juggling complex projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines under pressure.
