Responsibilities:We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced engineer for the RF Electronics Group. This group focuses on design and testing of RF electronics circuits. Engineers in this group design HW and embedded SW for next-generation RF systems ranging from the conceptual stage to fieldable prototypes. Staff in this group have expertise in RF electronics design, advanced electronic warfare techniques, reverse engineering. This is a design engineering position that requires the ability to apply sound engineering principles for the leadership and execution of electronics development projects within the Electronics Division. The candidate will be a direct contributor to projects and business development activities. In this capacity, the selected candidate will collaborate with other staff members to develop and transition innovative technologies for government sponsors.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
BS(+10y) or MS(+7y) or PHD(+3y) degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience.
- Possess a broad understanding of RF systems and architecture
- Hands-on understanding of RF active and passive circuits and components (LNAs, Filters, Mixers, Cables, Dielectrics, etc.)
- Great EE fundamentals knowledge (EMI, noise, linearity, ..). Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record in two or more of the following sub-areas:
- RADAR, Software Defined Radio, Satellite Radio, RF Packaging, High Speed Digital System, Discrete RF Circuit Design, 2D/3D EM Modeling and Prototyping, Antenna Design
- Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging.
- Hands-on experience in Ettus SDR products is a plus.
- Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Wiling and experience in writing proposals is a plus.
- This is an onsite/hybrid position.
