What will you be doing?
Argus is seeking a motivated early/mid-career journalist tojoin its growing US chemicals editorialteam. The role will report to the Chemicals Editor, while working closely with the global chemicals editorial team, business development and commercial teams.
Job duties:
- Establish strong knowledge of US chemical commodity markets and provide daily/weekly market coverage across one or more products.
- Drive news coverage for the team through original reporting and assigning stories to colleagues.
- Ensure quality and relevance of weekly and daily reports.
- Develop new areas of market coverage.
- Provide cross-coverage support across all US markets.
What we’re looking for in you:
- The legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, economics, business, history or relevant field.
- Demonstrated reporting, writing and goal-oriented collaboration skills, with strong diplomatic, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience covering physical commodity markets, with a strong preference for experience in the petrochemicals space.
- A commitment to the highest level of accuracy and completing all writing within established deadlines.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite with particular experience in Excel.
