Senior Resource Specialist at Ronin Group

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Resource Specialist with a robust foundation in the water industry, project management, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will focus on areas such as production cost modeling, transmission planning, and renewable energy projects. This role supports the department Assistant Group Manager and requires a candidate who can manage complex projects, multitask efficiently, and work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:

  • Oversee major water industry projects, including budget development, monitoring, and consultant oversight.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, technical integrity, and compliance standards.

• Team and Resource Management:

  • Act as a project team leader or member, managing resources to optimize cost-efficiency.
  • Draft, review, and approve technical and regulatory documents.
  • Negotiate terms for reliable, cost-effective water resources.

• Technical Support:

  • Provide guidance to ensure internal and external actions align with policies and objectives.
  • Involve in supervisory duties and mentor team members.

• Skills Development and Team Building:

  • Assign tasks, train, and build an effective, motivated team with a focus on diversity and performance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Urban Planning, Geology, Geography, Hydrology, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in policy development, project management, and resource negotiations, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

• Industry Knowledge:

  • Background in the water, energy, or electrical industries with strong project management experience.

• Technical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

• Personal Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills, flexibility, teamwork, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid CA driver’s license.
