Senior Revenue Analyst - PowerFlex

Scope of Job 
PowerFlex, an EDF Renewables company, is a leading national provider of intelligent onsite energy solutions that support carbon-free electrification and transportation. Our technology was developed at Caltech, deployed with research partners like NASA, proven-out with customers like Netflix and Children’s Hospital, and now scaling to fleets, corporations, and municipalities nationwide. 

The Senior Revenue Analyst will play a crucial role in company’s financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely billing and payments and managing contracts for the full spectrum of services and assets managed by the Asset Optimization team.  Excellent organization skills, meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will be essential to ensuring integrity of team’s financial records and enhancing customer satisfaction.  

Location
This role is open to be a hybrid role out of one of our offices (New York City, NY or San Diego, CA). We will only be able to consider applicants that are local to one of these areas and can come into office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities 

• Prepare, issue, and submit invoices for services provided by the Asset Optimization team, including corrective and preventative maintenance, subscription, and software fees 
• Accurately prepare and distribute invoices for offtake from operating assets, whether owned by PowerFlex or third-party owners, under various agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements, Shared Savings Agreements, and Operating Leases 
• Diligently verify all billing data to ensure completeness and accuracy, maintaining high standards of financial integrity 
• Proactively monitor billing cycles and deadlines, addressing any delays or issues to ensure the timely issuance of invoices 
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding past-due accounts, collections, and billing inquiries, providing exceptional support and resolution. 
• Research and follow-up on payment discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records 
• Review contracts and purchase orders and determine appropriate billing methods and procedures 
• Set up new contracts in the accounting system daily, ensuring smooth onboarding 
• Track and assist with contract renewals and associated billings to ensure continuous service delivery. Oversee the AR email account for payments, and post customer payments promptly 
• Prepare monthly AR reconciliation, investigating and resolving reconciling differences between the AR sub-ledger and General Ledger 
• Prepare and distribute customer account statements regularly 
• Assist with gathering information or providing details for financial or other audits

Qualifications
Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance preferred 
• 3-4 years of experience in operations, analytics or accounting roles
• Experience in field services or time and materials-based service businesses preferred 
• Experience with NetSuite is preferred 
• Familiarity with contracts/purchase orders and various billing methods (service/subscription, time and materials) 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal team members and customers 
• Excellent in Excel and adaptable to customer or internal software platforms 
• Highly self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities 
• A passion for the renewables industry and a desire to contribute to a more sustainable future! 

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $76,725 - $93,775 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.

Physical Requirements 
Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. 

Working Conditions 
Approximately 90% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe etc.), telephones, and general office equipment.  Possibly 10% of the time is spent traveling to conferences or meetings or field traveling to project sites.
