Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for numbers and financial analysis? We're seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Permanent Senior Revenue/ GL Accountant to join our finance team. This position is a crucial part of our organization, ensuring the accuracy of our financial data and contributing to our continued financial success. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of GAAP accounting, GPO (Group Purchasing Orgs), and QAD ERP (preferred). With your exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, you will play a key role in maintaining our financial health and driving our business forward.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Revenue/ GL Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
2. Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
3. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
4. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
5. Reviewing and improving current accounting systems, making use of GPO and QAD.
6. Managing the revenue recognition process in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition rules and standards.
7. Preparing for financial audit and coordinate the audit process.
8. Overseeing accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
9. Evaluating and advising on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
10. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Senior Revenue/ GL Accountant position, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue and general ledger accounting.
3. Proven experience with GAAP accounting, GPO, and QAD.
4. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
5. Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data, ability to create and present detailed reports.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
