Senior SOX Compliance Analyst - Infinity Natural Resources

Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a Senior SOX Compliance Analyst. In this position, the successful candidate will play a vital role in upholding the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) for our company's financial reporting. This is a full-time onsite position and can be based out of our office location in Morgantown, WV or Houston, TX. 

What You Will Be Doing:

• Manage and execute the annual SOX 404 compliance process, including control design, risk assessments, testing procedures, and remediation efforts.
• Partner with business process owners to ensure a strong understanding of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Conduct detailed walkthroughs to test the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare and maintain SOX compliance documentation, including control narratives, testing results, and issue logs.
• Collaborate with external auditors to address control deficiencies and ensure a smooth audit process.
• Stay up to date on the latest SOX regulations and industry best practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the SOX compliance framework.

Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CIA designation a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in SOX compliance, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data entry and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.    
• See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.  
• Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
