Senior Site Civil Design Engineer– Land Development | Hybrid | Worcester, MA

Responsibilities
- Strong emphasis on mentoring of junior engineers and designers
- Oversee the development of site civil engineering plans, reports and specifications for a multitude of land development projects
- Civil engineering for retail, residential, institutional, renewable energy and industrial site design including grading and drainage design, utility design, and site design/layout
- Preparation and/or reviewing design criteria, drawings and specifications
- Preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction contract documentation
- Assist in the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents
- Attending meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues
- Technical and design report writing
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing site design preferred
- Ability to think critically and creatively in a team-focused environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and StormCAD proficiency preferred
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field of study required
- Master’s degree a plus (may substitute for 2 year of experience)
- 8+ years of professional site/civil design engineering experience required
- 11+ years of site/civil design engineer experience with project management preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD required
- PE license required
- Solid understanding of the typical land entitlement process in MA including permitting at the local and state level preferred
