STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is seeking an exceptional Senior Structural Engineer to join our team! This role will primarily focus on supporting our industrial and power generation verticals with a home base in Kansas City, MO.
As a collective force, the Structural Group companies – PULLMAN, STRUCTURAL, and STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES – are the largest specialty concrete repair contractor in the United States. Our integrated investigate-design-build teams identify problems, create repair solutions, and implement repair projects to address the needs of clients in power generation, industrial, and other key markets.
At STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, we dedicate ourselves to collaborating closely with our integrated repair companies. Together, we perform field investigations and develop repair solutions for existing structures and buildings. This role for a Senior Structural Engineer requires in-depth knowledge of structural design principles and behaviors, including for chimneys and cooling towers; rotating and fixed equipment foundations; and environmental (liquid-retaining) tanks and structures.

Position Requirements:
· Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE)
· 10+ years of applicable experience
· Master’s or PhD degree in civil or structural engineering
· Ability to travel occasionally for site visits
· Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
· Technical accuracy and attention to detail in design
Responsibilities:
· Responsible charge for repair designs
· Analyze data to facilitate repair solution development with the project management and construction teams
· Prepare and review calculations using a combination of hand methods and finite element analysis software
· Prepare and review deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and written reports
Preferred Skills and Certifications
· Familiarity with American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) codes, standards, guidelines, and recommended practices for the design, construction, and repair of concrete structures.
· Familiarity with the America Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Welding Society (AWS).
· Familiarity with the American Wood Council (AWC) and the Aluminum Association design standards
· Experience working on structural steel analysis, including some bolted and welded connection designs.
· Experience working with OSHA fall protection standards for scaffolding and rigging
· Enthusiasm and curiosity for solving problems and understanding how things work
· Solid understanding of how structures behave
· Experience with Finite Element Analysis Software such as ANSYS, SAP2000, or Staad.Pro
· Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM software
