BerkOne, a leader in content and process automation since 1936, has an immediate opening for a skilled and dedicated Senior Support Technician to join our Technical Support team in Bethlehem, PA!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The focus of the Senior Support Technician is to perform second-level Help Desk support for BerkOne, interfacing with internal and external clients, as well as vendors, to service and maintain the technical infrastructure of the company. This position requires top notch customer service, strong communication with a diverse population and expert technical troubleshooting skills.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Perform full range of installation, maintenance, and support of the network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
- Contribute to the development of new technology solutions and ensure proper configuration and cabling of network systems.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot network equipment, and participate in LAN performance analysis.
- Document infrastructure configurations, manage technical project tasks, and monitor system performance.
- Document activities in ticketing systems and manage all assigned requests to closure within the established timeframes.
- Assist in training junior staff, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and travel occasionally to local offices to provide technical support.
LOCATION + SCHEDULE
- On-site in our Bethlehem, PA office
- Once trained (~4-6 months), can work hybrid/remotely a few days a week. Must come into the office as needed, due to job responsibilities.
- Monday Friday, 8 am 4:30 pm
- Must join on-call rotation for emergency helpdesks during off-hours.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer technology, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive approach to solve problems. The Senior Support Technician will meet challenges with resourcefulness, be conscientious, thorough, and have the ability to implement new technologies and best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four-year College or technical school
- Minimum 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or
- Or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- A+ Certification preferred
- Working knowledge and experience with the following systems/tools:
- Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
- Distributed File System (DFS)
- Microsoft Windows 11
- Active Directory
- PowerShell
- Cisco Networking
- Virtual machine software (VMware)
- Avaya or comparable IP phone system
- Remote Desktop Services (RDS)/Terminal servers
