We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.
HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
- Create and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation
- Prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations and implementation plans
- Research and documents analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirements
- Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
- Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
- Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
- Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Identify and document methodologies, approaches, interfaces, and system-level and business-level processes for components
- Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
- Perform detailed reviews and analysis of system-level interactions, data flows and interfaces and develop appropriate functional, data, component, and system-level groupings
- Monitor, analyze, & report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks
- Develop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance problems
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree( in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field)
Required Experience:
- Ten (10) years related experience
Security Clearance Level:
- Must be clearable for a position of Public Trust and standard background investigation check

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Experience using Java /J2EE applications
- Understanding of networking and internet protocols
- Familiar with Cloud Service Providers
- Experience working within an Agile development environment
- Experience with web services and API’s
- Experience using C/C++, SQL, XML and experience with databases
- Experience with Cloud security
- Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, GitHub, Eclipse, Docker, and/or Ansible
- Excellent writing skills- candidate will be asked to provide writing samples of technical papers they have authored
- Knowledge of the software life cycle
- Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customer

The likely salary range for this position is $100,300 - $135,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
