We are looking for individuals who have tax experience and want to take their career to the next level by joining our tax team. We have been growing the last few years and are now a firm of about 80+ people, so there are plenty of opportunities for mentorship, growth and technical development.
THE SKILL SET
- Understanding of relevant tax legislation corporate, personal and partnership tax compliance and planning.
- Must have experience in financial statement preparation of compilations/reviews.
- Preparation of complex individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns.
- Assist with the process and review of tax returns.
- Various financial analysis including but not limited to balance sheets and income statements.
- Team player, client focused, and quality in detailed work.
- Displays strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills required, multi-tasker.
- Proficient with CCH ProSystems FX tax, QuickBooks, Excel and/or RIA Checkpoint a plus.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in public accounting, in Tax.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, Master’s degree or working to attain it.
- Must have CPA license or working to attain it.
WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL
- Complete new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Complete introductory training.
- Begin learning our tax software, as well as undergo a Quickbooks refresher.
- Begin growing your internal network by meeting with Supervisors, Managers and Partners.
WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL
- Prepare complex individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns.
- Prepare and calculate estimated tax payments.
- Make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gain increasing responsibilities in review process.
- Manage client engagements from start to finish which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects, managing the budget, meeting deadlines and client expectations.
WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Research tax issues and documenting this research in tax memos or client letters.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates on client engagements.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 Per Year
