Senior Tax Manager - Flow Through - Northwest Talent Solutions LLC

Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm in the private industry to recruit a highly talented Senior Tax Manager for their Flow Through team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to become an industry expert while working with middle market clients in a fast-growing, innovative environment.

Job Summary: 

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. You'll work closely with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm's success. Additionally, you'll mentor and coach talented staff, utilizing your expertise to develop their technical and professional skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients
• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters for various clients ranging from startups to middle market companies
• Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and compliance
• Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations to clients
• Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters
• Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
• Network and build strong relationships to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue
• Support the growth and development of team members through mentoring and coaching

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a similar degree in business (Master's or advanced degree desirable)
• CPA or JD required
• 8+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm
• 5+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
