Senior Tax Manager at Vaco, LLC

About the Job
Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a global asset management company, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to play a key role in their tax U.S. tax provision, financial reporting, and compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
• Calculating the annual tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
• Overseeing the U.S. tax provision workflow
• Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual SEC disclosures, including income tax footnote and other tax disclosures
• Managing portions of the compliance process, working with outsourced external tax preparers
• Overseeing estimates and extension calculations
• Assisting with local returns, estimated tax payment calculations for various jurisdictions
• Supporting other compliance processes, including tax information reporting and withholding as needed
• Responding to federal, state, local, and foreign tax inquiries and audits
Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or better in Accounting. MST and CPA highly preferred
• 7+ years of corporate U.S. tax provision and compliance experience, including hands-on preparation of provisions and returns
• Experience with partnerships and/or international tax compliance is a plus
• Team oriented, but also able to work independently
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff members

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
