Role:
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer , responsible for product testing and the development of software tools and testing processes. If you enjoy technical challenges and troubleshooting complex system level behaviors, this role is perfect for you as we are at a crucial and dynamic point in our product’s evolution. This is a critical role within the organization, working with our most advanced technology and pushing the envelope to bring our technology to new levels.
You will ideally have a background in test engineering, and experience using cutting edge metrology systems. You will have ownership of testing of our products. You will work with the mechanical and electrical design/manufacturing in a close team environment. The Test Engineer is an exciting way to apply your engineering skills and education in a hands-on way – putting theory into action.
Responsibilities:
+ Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret test results for motion control systems.
+ Design and develop Automated Test Solutions, test hardware/fixtures and software, to perform production/manufacturing test of products developed.
+ Responsible for presenting, both written and oral, communication of test results and project status to customers and all levels within the organization.
+ Perform failure analysis investigations during new product development and in support of manufacturing.
+ Document and analyze test cases and provide feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.
+ Assemble and Test rapid prototype new concepts and systems to mitigate technical risks on new development concepts.
+ Create and maintain system test protocols for design verification and validation.
+ Provide day to day Operations test support to test technicians on the manufacturing test floor to assure quality, cost and schedule goals are met.
Key Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
+ 5+ years of test engineering experience
+ Hands on experience
+ Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
+ Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other measurement tools.
+ Experience in programming with LabVIEW
+ Ability to analyze customer requirements and establish a sound qualification plan
Experiences that Strengthen Your Candidacy:
+ Theoretical and practical understanding of basic analog and digital servo control theory
+ Electro-mechanical and systems level design knowledge and experience
+ Experience with Motion Controls, Drives, Motors, Encoders and Power Supplies
+ Working knowledge in programming with languages such as C, C++ and/or C#
+ Measurement and testing of precision positioning systems
