Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a Sr. Transportation Highway/Roadway Engineer to be based in San Jose, CA. **Job Responsibilities:** + Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects. + Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. + Approves and signs off on work. + Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts. + Presents complex technical solutions to clients. + Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others. + Participates in development of technical proposals. + Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education **Preferred Qualifications:** + Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered in California + Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in Southern California (must include some Caltrans project experience) + Experience preparing technical specifications in Greenbook and/or Caltrans format + Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility + Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation, InRoads, AutoCad and Civil 3D + Desire to develop Marketing skills + Able to assist in proposals and presentations + Participate in professional organizations representing the company. + Excellent written and oral communications skills **Additional Information** + We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States.
