POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Treasury Analyst role at Ocean State Job Lot (“OSJL” and “Company”) is responsible for assessing, monitoring, planning and managing the efficient utilization of cash and other related financial services for the Company. The Senior Treasury Analyst role will have oversight over and day-to-day hands on management of cash, investments, debt and loan drawdowns and payments, forecasting and month-end close support. The Senior Treasury Analyst role also plays a critical role in ensuring the Company’s liquidity by developing and maintaining accurate short-term and long-term liquidity forecasts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct day-to-day corporate cash management activities to meet the financial obligations of the Company.
- Monitor and reconcile the Company’s daily cash position and balance.
- Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions.
- Review cash transactions for unusual items and investigate / research variances and determine validity.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in day-to-day conduct and cash management activities.
- Perform and manage cash functions, including cash positioning, cash reporting and forecasting, short-term borrowing and investing, wire payments and fraud prevention.
- Anticipate short-term borrowing and investing needs to manage cash levels to minimize cost of borrowing and maximize return on excess funds.
- Execute funds movement to ensure financial obligations are met in a timely fashion.
- Initiate and/or participate in periodic review and discussions to identify gaps in the process and internal controls in an effort to continuously improve the efficiency; make recommendations to management for approval and implement new processes.
- Play a lead role in researching and recommending innovative changes that will benefit the Company.
- Provide general ledger “GL” support with the preparation of various journal entries and account reconciliations related to cash, cash position, and borrowing and investing activities.
- Understand the appropriate procedures and processes around period close activity.
- Work with the GL team for the timely period end reconciliation of cash accounts. Support interface with accounting for bank general ledger uploads, journal entry differences and general troubleshooting, and developing exception reports to identify variances.
- Manage and maintain the Company’s banking infrastructure and relationships including, but not limited to:
- Hedging and bank account setup and maintenance and Foreign Exchange (“FX”) management.
- Act as an expert advisor on banking issues for the Company and other corporate functional areas.
- Ensure adherence to the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (“SOX”), the Bank Secrecy Act, the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”), and the Dodd-Frank Act, including all required recordkeeping and data testing.
- Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term liquidity forecasts to ensure the Company has sufficient cash and Bank line of credit to meet its financial obligations.
- Prepare and manage periodic cash flow and working capital budgets and forecasts.
- Work with management to accurately forecast timing and amount of future cash flows.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- 4 or more years of treasury or cash management experience is required.
- CTP Certification would be a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
- Knowledge of Oracle or other Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) software is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard
potential. - Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks.
- Work may be completed outside of the company locations. The role is responsible for setting up a professional and ergonomically safe work environment and to be available during working hours. While working remotely, the role will be required to have reliable Internet connection.

The salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $100,000.00 per year. Salary commensurates with experience.
