The duties include but are not limited to the following: + Provides project leadership in the areas of design, investigation, analysis, and construction of water management systems for Tailings Storage Facilities and multi-disciplinary mining projects + Serve as lead engineer or discipline lead on mid- to large size projects + Work with existing and potential clients to provide long-term stormwater management solutions for mine waste facilities + Develop project proposals and work with mining business leader to support and grow the Mining practice + Provide direction to and mentoring to other technical staff in completing project tasks + Performs independent technical reviews of engineering reports and design and signs off on work + May be responsible for Project teams that include 5 or more members often representing multiple disciplines including subcontractor(s) + Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering project, focusing on the stormwater management design of mine waste storage projects + Provide advice and consultation to client on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations + Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage/civil design **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Valid U.S. Driver’s License **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s OR PhD in Civil Engineering or related field of study + 10+ years or more of relevant experience + Professional Engineer (PE) License + MSHA Miner training + Demonstrated progressive experience in stormwater evaluation and design (e.g., hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, stormwater management design), construction monitoring and operations + Progressive project experience including task leadership and project management roles on design and design-build projects + Ability to serve as primary point of contact with the client and develop client relationships + Knowledge of standard hydrologic and hydraulic software programs (e.g., HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS) and evaluations + Lead designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, construction specifications, and final working drawings + Work with CAD designers to produce construction-level drawings including grading, drainage and roadway plans, profiles, details, and sections + Perform frequency storm and probable maximum precipitation hydrologic analyses + Conduct hydraulic analyses and design of channels, culverts, bridges, flow measurement, and flood mapping + Prepare reservoir and pond designs including geosynthetic lining, leak detection/collection systems, breach analysis, outlet works, and spillways + Design channels and energy dissipation structures that include concrete, riprap, articulated concrete block, fabric-formed concrete, and baffle blocks for erosion control + Coordinate with OSE, EPA, and other agencies for permit preparation + Perform work in accordance with agreed upon scope, budget, and schedule + Scope/estimate complex civil & hydraulics projects + Track and manage task budgets and schedules + Write reports and prepare/or direct preparation of detailed calculation packages including proper documentation and references + Must be resourceful, highly organized, professional with attention to detail and people **Additional Information** + Sponsorship is provided for this opportunity + Relocation is not provided for this opportunity Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
