We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.Job DescriptionThe Square Point of Sale mobile applications are the main entry point through which merchants interact with Square. The Modes and Settings team is responsible for building and maintaining remote settings and configuration management infrastructure that our sellers interact with many times a day. To learn more about Point of Sale:As an iOS Engineer on the team, you’ll need to:Be proficient in Swift and/or ObjC for development (we use both).Lead the engineering implementation of seller-facing projects, from conceptualization to rollout.Enjoy working on mobile apps at all levels – from networking to user interfaces and whatever’s in between.Build high availability and highly resilient systems which can accept and accurately report payments no matter the network or device conditions.Collaborate with iOS, Android, and Server engineers to ship features.Work closely with product managers and designers to iterate on and define product scope and design.Respond to customer feedback to continuously improve our products.QualificationsYou have:[Preferred] Experience with developing mid to large scale complex features.[Preferred] Experience with SDK or Framework development.Excellent software engineering aptitude and a product mindset.5+ years of software development experience, with 4+ on iOS.Strong communication skills and a strong desire to deliver a great product.A strong sense of customer empathy and an interest in influencing the product direction.Technologies we use:Swift, Objective-CGit, XcodeHTTP, JSON, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and GraphQLAdditional InformationBlock takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location.
