We are looking for welcoming and energetic Servers to provide table service to restaurant guests. You’ll be the face of Anna's House restaurants and responsible for our guests’ experiences. Server responsibilities include ensuring tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. Your ultimate goal is to provide high-quality service that will help Anna's House maintain and attract guests. Anna’s House Servers take orders from guests and ensure they get served exactly what the guest ordered. Servers regularly check in with the guests to ensure their meal is of high quality and meets expectations. Servers collaboratively work with peers in the front and back of the house. Servers are expected to proactively anticipate guest needs and/or concerns and address them as soon as possible to ensure the best experience possible.
Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Greet and attend to guests
- Present restaurant menus, share any seasonal menu items, and help guests select food/beverages
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Take food and beverage orders
- Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests
- Ensure food delivered has been prepared correctly and to the guest's satisfaction
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Perform duties of host, expo/food runner, busser, and takeout/deli server as directed by leadership
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma is a plus but not required
Experience
- Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience preferred
Skills
- Ability to actively and comfortably engage in conversation with guests
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills (via phone and in-person) and positive body language
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining area
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve
- Excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with health, cleanliness, and safety regulations
- Responsible and trustworthy
Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time (up to ten hours)
- Ability to lift, carry, and place up to 30 pounds
- Must have weekend availability
