HOJ Forklift is currently seeking outstanding candidates for a Service Dispatcher. The Service Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and dispatching service technicians, taking incoming customer calls, and providing clerical support activities. This individual will act as primary liaison with customers to schedule their forklift maintenance and repairs, and their general equipment needs. Customer interaction, communicating with the Field Technicians, and coordinating job priorities will be an everyday occurrence. The successful candidate will have dispatch and scheduling experience and must have outstanding customer service skills.

SERVICE DISPATCHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Takes incoming calls from customers to address questions, problems, or requests for service
- Generates work order documents and dispatches field service technicians
- Schedules personnel, materials, and equipment based on project needs, skill sets, and availability
- Monitor Service Tech progress and adjust schedules as service requests come in to maximize efficiency and customer repair responsiveness
- Records and maintains files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information
- Plan and coordinate implementation of maintenance contracts
- Coordinates service resources by connecting open jobs with parts ordered and received
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, routing them to the assigned staff, and responding to special requests
- Maintain communication to promote the concept of "total quality" customer service
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have stellar customer service skills in person and/or over the phone, providing a professional, customer-focused service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily interruptions
- Ability to learn industry specific software
- Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
- Ability to work independently as well as with a diverse group of people
Education & Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required
- Previous experience in the material handling equipment industry, especially with dispatch and customer service strongly preferred
- Previous dispatch/scheduling experience preferred
- Relevant knowledge of warehousing/distribution and material handling systems is a plus!
