Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to lead our service operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring our service delivery aligns with our high standards and customer expectations. You will oversee a team of skilled technicians, mange service schedules, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Oversee, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians. Ensure effective training, performance management and career development.
- Service Operations: Manage all aspects of service operations including scheduling, dispatching and follow-ups. Ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Customer Relations: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring excellent service quality and addressing customer concerns promptly. Includes handling all warranty claims, as well as provide, maintain and promote preventative maintenance agreements.
- Operational Efficiency: Analyze service operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all services comply with local, state. and federal regulations. Promote and enforce safety standards across all service activities.
- Budget Management: Manage service department budget, control costs, and contribute to profitability by optimizing operational processes.
- Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients to update on service progress, manage expectations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years in a managerial or lead role within the HVAC service industry with a company of similar size and scope of services, with a proven track record of success.
- Education: Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Certifications in HVAC technologies and managements practices are advantageous.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem solving and decision-making capabilities. Proficient in-service management software and CRM Systems. Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Knowledge: Strong technical and diagnostic background in boilers, chillers, VFD’s, heat pumps, air handlers, gas-fired rooftops, makeup air, CO/NOX, make-up air units, controls & control wiring, communicating systems and DDC. Also, must be proficient in reading of schematics, blueprints and specifications.
