About the Job
This is a great opportunity for a candidate with service knowledge and experience in the heavy equipment industry. Qualified candidates will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Shop and Field Service Technicians, managing and prioritizing work and scheduling technicians accordingly. Working closely with the Service Manager, Service Foreman, Technicians, and customers to ensure that expectations are met, and repairs are conducted efficiently.
The annual salary range for this position is: $85,000 to $90,000. This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime pay. Required Skills/Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:
- Minimum 2-year supervisory/management experience.
- Preferred 2- or 4-year technical degree or equivalent job experience.
- Technical and diagnostic skills required.
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Hydraulic, engine, electrical troubleshoot, and repair.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

- Follow all company policies, processes, procedures. Exercise safe work practices to contribute to the achievement of the company's safety goals.
- Maintain compliance for OSHA and shop crane inspections.
- Supervise Shop/Field Service Technicians
- Maintain schedule and outline shop/field work.
- Oversee repairs and provide support/guidance.
- Evaluate all work for accuracy.
- Review and approve timecards daily.
- Foster a team environment and work together to form and execute solutions.
- Open, monitor, review, and close work orders.
- The company goal is to have work orders closed within 7 days from the last date of labor.
- Establish, promote, and ensure an outstanding level of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Provide written estimates to customers for repair and service work.
- Proactively contact customers with repair progress reports.
- Act as point of contact for all shop service and repair calls.
- Assist customers with technical questions.
- Participate in staffing Service Technician positions and conducting annual employee evaluations.
- Meet with Service Manager regularly to review service department status.
- Follow all company policies and regulations for safe work procedures.
