Our Furniture Repair and Refinish Technicians earn ($17 - $24) per hour, are provided 3 weeks of hands-on furniture repair paid training and given a Company Repair Van to drive.

Furniture Repair and refinish TECHNICIAN details.
Primary Function
Visit customer’s residence and repair merchandise (Furniture, Upholstery, Cabinets, Leather etc. Evaluate furniture repairs and action needed to satisfy our customers. Drive company provided technician van to customer homes.
Service Technician Duties:
- In home furniture repair including wood, leather and upholstery.
- Represent Havertys Furniture professionally while visiting the Customers home and inspecting their furniture.
- Inspect, repair furniture and help to resolve the Customers Furniture related issue.
- Responsible for accurate on-site home report to Customer Service.
- Inspect and keep service van and tools in good condition.
Job Requirements
Technician Requirements:
- Must possess or be willing to acquire skills to do furniture repair; experience with both case goods (cabinets, dressers, drawers, shelves) and upholstery a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Being a good ambassador for the company.
- Requires lifting of heavy merchandise.
- Touch-up experience preferred.
- Motion activated furniture repair, i.e., electrical lift chairs, and battery powered sectional knowledge and repair experience a plus
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 and have a Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Be willing and able to receive a NON-CDL Card.
- Willing to complete and pass a DOT urine drug screen.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Technical school graduate preferred
- Proven ability to work with hands, build and repair with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Candidates must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
- Able to communicate effectively using speech, hearing, and customer service skills.
Essential Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 90 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. Candidates must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
