What You Will Do
The Sheet Metal Fabricator utilizes CNC Press Brake, CNC Waterjet & CNC
Laser/Punch technology to produce durable, high-quality components. Must
have attention to detail, ability to interpret blueprints, and
understanding of safety & quality standards.
- Fabricate (cut/bend) sheet metal parts based on blueprints/job
orders.
- Weld sheet metal assemblies utilizing GMAW & GTAW
- Finish welds using files, power hand grinders, and sanders.
- Cut steel with an acetylene and plasma torch.
- Utilize measuring tools (ruler, caliper, height gauge, micrometer &
protractor).
- Hold bend tolerances of +/-.015.
- Ensure safety regulations and quality standards are met.
- Operate a forklift (training provided).
What You Will Bring
- 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience utilizing CNC Press
Brake, CNC Waterjet & CNC Laser/Punch technology.
- Ability to read blueprints and operate common hand/power tools.
- Experience with manual drill press, manual mill (Bridgeport), and
horizontal & vertical band saws desired.
- Familiarity with basic computer tasks.
- Experience with CAD is desired, but willingness to learn is
required.
- GMAW & GTAW welding experience is desired, but willingness to learn
is required.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs. unassisted.
