Position Overview
The Shipboard Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all technical, schedule, and the shipboard work force associated with assigned ship repair projects. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic individual who can manage ship repair projects while maintaining compliance with technical, safety and quality standards. The Shipboard Supervisor will work closely with other Shipboard Supervisors and Project Managers to monitor and report progress status.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical/electronic trades personnel appropriate to size of projects
- Monitor and track project and operational goals to include established objectives relating to technical progress, schedule, quality, safety or other objectives
- Identify out-of-scope work and notify the project management team for program changes
- Write required and / or otherwise necessary conditions found reports (CFRs), track and bring to conclusion
- Interface with prime contractor customers
- Ensure safety and quality procedures are in compliance with local requirements and are followed
- Ensure company policies are followed by all personnel under your supervision
- Ensure compliance with customer contracts, federal, state and local laws and regulations
- Ensure compliance with EIMB, EPISM and Electrical MIL standards as applicable
- Five (5) years' experience in management of shipboard electrical installation and repair services
- Understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items, ABS and other industry related guidelines as applicable to various programs
- Understanding of EIMB, EPISM and Electrical MIL standards
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass Waveforce Electrical pre-employment drug and background screening.
- Must be able to obtain government facility and/or shipyard access, to include a DBIDS credential, as required by work locations
- Ability to travel if required (estimated travel <25%)
