Shipping Clerk $17-19/hour - Keter North America

SUMMARY

Responsible for filling and shipping customer orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation. General duties include movement of finished product to storage area, picking orders, shipping, receiving, stocking and labeling of materials. Responsible for safely and efficiently processing powder coated products following current company Standard Operating Procedure. 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

·        Carefully picking, shipping, stocking and labeling of materials to be placed in stock or shipped to customers

·        Loading and unloading of trucks

·        Processing orders in computer

·        Maintaining and participating in inventory counts of shipping supplies, bulk, and finished products

·        Responsibly operating hand trucks, and/or various types of forklifts or lift equipment throughout production and warehouse areas

·        Interfacing with Supervisors, Managers and peers to resolve issues

·        Maintaining a clean and safe work area free from debris

·        Operating a shrink wrap machine accurately and safely

·        Overseeing powdercoating inventory

·        Maintaining paint booth filters and respirator

·        Prepping, painting and storing hardware

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·        Standing and walking on concrete production floors for 8-hour shifts

·        Normal hearing and range of vision

·        Must be able to identify different colors

·        Requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling frequently though out the work shift

·        Required to frequently lift various weights of finished product up to 100 lbs.

·        May not have allergies to plastic/poly and/or cardboard

·        Ability to work in hot/cool work environment

·        Ability to work in a noisy work environment

·        Ability to work in close quarters with other employees and around other material handling equipment safely

Requirements:

·        Experience working in shipping, warehouse environment and familiar with FDA shipping regulations on load weight requirements etc.

·        Ability to read and communicate in English to follow and understand work instructions

·        Ability to use simple math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and understanding percentages and fractions)

·        Good manual dexterity

·        Great attention to detail to ensure correct product/color etc. is being shipped to the correct customer with the correct shipping method, address etc.

·        Ability to use an air hose when required

·        Good Attendance

·        Ability to work independently as well as with others

·        Reliable transportation to arrive at work on a daily basis

·        Must have a positive attitude and professional demeanor

·        Excellent communication skills
