Shipping Coordinator - LTL and Warehouse OperationsAbout the Role
We are seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator to manage our Clients LTL carrier operations and coordinate material transfers between facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient shipping operations and accurate inventory management across multiple locations.
Core ResponsibilitiesShipping Operations Management

• Schedule and coordinate LTL carrier pickups based on shipment readiness
• Generate and process Bills of Lading for all shipments
• Create accurate packing slips and barcode labels
• Manage proper freight distribution and paperwork handling with carriers
• Coordinate dock operations and shipment movements
• Notify yard switchers of trailer movement requirements

Warehouse Coordination

• Oversee material transfers between off-site warehouse (OSW) and main facility
• Maintain accurate JDE inventory locations and part tracking
• Coordinate with purchasing department for shipping supplies procurement
• Implement and maintain 6S standards throughout shipping areas
• Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of work areas

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain comprehensive shipping and transfer records
• Monitor and verify daily transaction reports
• Follow established Record Retention guidelines
• Manage digital and physical shipping documentation
• Track order processing and shipping status

Required QualificationsEducation & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred
• Knowledge of LTL shipping procedures
• Understanding of Bill of Lading preparation

Technical Skills

• Computer proficiency required
• JD Edwards (JDE) experience preferred
• Knowledge of barcode systems and routing (training provided)
• Experience with shipping software and documentation
• Warehouse management system familiarity

• JD Edwards Enterprise (JDE)
• Barcode scanning systems
• Shipping software platforms
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
