Job Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate at Belt Power, LLC, will perform a variety of duties in our shipping and receiving department and will also work to customize heavy duty belts and rubber components to the customer specifications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area, follows sales orders.
- Ships products, verifies, and records all items loaded for shipments.
- Work with truck carriers and couriers.
- Part of Interlox and Filter Screen department.
- Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned.
- Maintains database of shipment data.
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
- Attention to detail.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
- Cross train on the following:
- Duties to fabricate
- Install and repair conveyor belts and belting systems.
- Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Represent Belt Power in a professional manner at all times.
- Wears required to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1+ year preferred experience in shipping and receiving work.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical background.
- The ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure.
- Basic math skills and computer skills.
- Mechanical Aptitude

- Strong communication skills written and verbal.

Physical Demands:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate may lift and / or move to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and / or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle , install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the Shipping & Receiving Associate will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position in a shop. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend work.
