Shipping & Receiving Associate - Finish Line Staffing Services

About the Job
Our client, an expert in the fields of radiation detection, imaging, nuclear instrumentation, and NDT, has an immediate opening for a Shipping & Receiving Associate. This role will manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries and sort receivables
- Maintain an accurate log of paper sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately
- Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
- Ensure adequate supplies are on hand for shipping area
- Support administrative area including tracking PO’s and receiving slips
- Tag equipment upon receipt of items and track in inventory
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2 years or more of logistics, retail, or customer service experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time, organization, and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Experience shipping materials internationally and domestically
- Must have experience with U.S. Customs Rules and Regulations as well as the ability to research these regulations and comply
- Knowledge of shipping via UPS/UPS WorldShip and FedEx and utilizing their unique systems
- Able to lift boxes that range in size and weight
- Able to use Microsoft 365 applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel
- Must have experience with ITAR and foreign shipping compliance
