MK Services in Middleton, MA is looking to add a Shipping Clerk to our growing team!
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments of products, materials, and supplies in a CNC manufacturing environment. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all shipments and maintains inventory records.

Key Responsibilities
Receive Incoming Shipments:
- Verify and inspect received items for accuracy and damages.
- Match shipping documents to product orders.
- Label and store received items in designated storage areas.
Prepare Outgoing Shipments:
- Pack and label materials according to shipping instructions.
- Prepare shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, and airway bills).
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers for timely delivery.
Inventory Management:
- Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
- Organize and catalog items in the stockroom.
- Conduct regular inventory audits.
Equipment Operation:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shipping and receiving equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for management.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
Customer and Vendor Interaction:
- Resolve shipment and delivery issues with customers and suppliers.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
