Our client has been making the best hardware and software for the professional AV market. Our client manufactures products designed to optimize the audio landscaping.

SUMMARY

Responsible for unloading and receiving shipments, preparing outgoing shipments and coordination with Customer Service team to ensure that all shipping documents are completed accurately and timely.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS: MON - FRI 7am -3:30pm

PAY RATE: 19.50/hr

DUTIES

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Transact customer orders using both carrier and ERP systems.
• Providing quality control inspections, as necessary, within the workflow.
• Package and tape international shipments in multi-pack cartons for export.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.
• Take an accurate inventory count at end of each day.
• Package product for shipping; ensuring all necessary product cables and instructions are in box.
• Assemble cardboard cartons as needed for large, multipack shipments.
• Move prepared shipments from shipping cart to dock door as needed.
• Call and/or email forwarding companies to arrange pick-up.
• Consign shipments to forwarders and ensures the correct shipments are consigned to the forwarder by listening carefully and checking documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in packaging and shipping.
• Excellent written, verbal and problem solving skills
• Computer Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook and a demonstrated ability to learn new software/applications
• General knowledge of domestic and international shipping (UPS World Ship and Fed Ex Ship Manager systems preferred)
• Knowledge of ERP systems preferred
• Forklift Certification required either upon hire or ability to obtain certification within the first three months of employment
