The University Campus Store is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Manager to oversee all aspects of our shipping and receiving operations. Under the direction of the Inventory and Fulfillment Manager, this position manages and directs the activities of teams responsible for receiving, shipping, and handling deliveries and items within the store efficiently and accurately, in compliance with company policies and procedures.The Shipping and Receiving Manager coordinates all inbound and outbound products within the Campus Store. This involves managing the flow of goods coming into and going out of the store, including receiving deliveries, inspecting and storing products, and handling returns. The Shipping and Receiving Manager is also responsible for effectively addressing and resolving issues related to shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all processes are carried out with precision to maintain high standards.This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, a strong commitment to internal and external customer service, and the capability to direct a large team in daily responsibilities. The manager must make informed decisions to optimize operations and resolve issues promptly, maintain high productivity standards, and oversee logistics to ensure smooth operations. They must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain to manage inventory effectively and utilize current inventory management systems to maintain accurate records and streamline processes. Additionally, the manager is responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing a multi-faceted inventory flow, and implementing processes as needed to improve operational efficiency. The manager will also be responsible for training all staff in handling, sorting, and maintaining stock, addressing associated problems, and ensuring efficient receiving operations.The University of Utah is the states public flagship institution and a top-tier research university.
