The Opportunity
As a Shipping Supervisor with Tradebe, you will be responsible for properly supervising compliance, organization, inventory, and disposal of outbound container loads.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Supervise shipping staff on your designated shift
- Adhere to and promote all health and safety procedures and protocols
- Prepare labels and markings for outbound container loads
- Identify and assemble containers for shipment
- Ensure containers meet DOT compliance specifications for shipping
- Complete loads, manifests, and outbound verification reports in a timely manner
- Place or locate material in proper staging/storage areas
- Prepare material for processing operations
- Perform processing operations as needed
- Accurately track drum storage, and handle movements on tracking sheets as needed
- Required to perform daily inspections on the forklifts
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Shipping experience in manufacturing or industrial environment required
- Experience operating a forklift
- Knowledge of the hazardous waste industry is a plus
- Ability to read, understand and apply common operational documents and SOPs
- Ability to wear respirator as needed (requires face being clean shaved)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check is required
