About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team and develop advanced signal and image processing algorithms for our missile product lines. This role involves working on a variety of challenging and innovative projects, including resolved and unresolved image processing, low signature target detection, automatic target recognition and identification, image correction algorithms, scene generation, hyperspectral image processing techniques, and non-uniformity correction.

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team and develop advanced signal and image processing algorithms for our missile product lines. This role involves working on a variety of challenging and innovative projects, including resolved and unresolved image processing, low signature target detection, automatic target recognition and identification, image correction algorithms, scene generation, hyperspectral image processing techniques, and non-uniformity correction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Algorithm Development: Develop and refine signal and image processing algorithms for various applications.
- Modeling & Simulation: Create complex models and simulations to evaluate system performance in diverse scenarios and environments.
- System Evaluation: Verify system and subsystem level requirements to ensure optimal performance.
- Technical Presentations: Develop and present technical material to internal leadership and external customers.
- Collaboration: Work in a collegial team environment with subject matter experts from various academic backgrounds.
- Technical Expertise: Strive to become a technical subject matter expert in algorithm development.
- ACTIVE Secret or higher Clearance
- Degree(s) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in developing and analyzing algorithms related to signal/image processing.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C++, Matlab, Python.
- Experience with linear algebra software packages.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in C++ development within a Linux environment.
- Experience deploying algorithms that meet real-time performance requirements.
- Experience with complex algorithms in embedded systems.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) techniques.
- Understanding of electro-optical/infrared detection (EOIR) technology, optics, and radiometry principles.
- Expertise in navigation and inertial tracking algorithms.
- Proficiency in math related to Kalman filtering, optimal state estimation, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and multivariate calculus.
- Familiarity with clutter rejection techniques.
- Experience with modeling and simulation of EOIR systems.
