JOB SUMMARY
Create, manage, and supervise a well-rounded tutorial, enrichment, and recreational after school program. Responsible for oversight of all programs operating at school site. Supervise all team members as assigned to provide quality programming and activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and develop all aspects of high-quality programs, including program structure and activities, both during the academic year as well as summer
- Collaborate with school administration to align programming to school objectives.
- Partner with school administration to align program curriculum with the current day program.
- Collaborate with other Community Based Organizations to offer a varied menu of program activities.
- Communicate with parents and teachers about students’ progress and needs.
- Supervise staff; provide supervision, performance evaluation and ongoing training opportunities.
- Recruit and maintain a minimum number of active participants (per grant expectations).
- Manage budgets and ensure programs stays within budget guidelines.
- Maintain up to date enrollment records on all participants.
- Collect data and write reports as required by funders.
- Reach out to and provide appropriate programming for parents (parent workshops, parent teacher conferences, family events).
- Attend trainings/meetings as required.
- Make appropriate referrals for students and families in need.

Required Experience:
EDUCATION
- BA in Education, Social Work or equivalent academic/professional experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years working with inner city youth.
- 1+ years supervisory experience.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Experience developing curriculum preferred.
- Cultural competency to work with diverse client population.
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred
- Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations, including being able to supervise groups of children, perform physical intervention if required, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
