The Site Manager will have managerial responsibility for safety, security, availability, scaling, costs, training and efficiency for their department. They lead the team that is installing and maintaining the network infrastructure for state-of-the-art hyperscale data centers. This will also include data center retro-fit and equipment installation. The Site Manager must lead across each of these functions, build strong partnership with the customer and work cross functionally internally and externally.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:

- Cultivate and maintain customer relationships to secure and expand business opportunities.
- Provide initial client interface to assess scope of work, schedule and resources necessary to successfully complete a project.
- Work with the Operations team to ensure proper materials, equipment and labor are available.
- Participates in progress update meetings and provide customer with progress reports as per the contractual requirements.
- Partner with QA/QC Team to ensure specifications are communicated, anchored and achieved in accordance to client quality plan requirements.
- Represent the company in client project meetings.
- Participate in all meetings, conference calls and company required meetings throughout the year as assigned by your manager.
- Coordinate with PE to facilitate that project close-outs are completed efficiently and accurately. May assist in accounts receivable when required.
- Manage customer acceptance and signoff of the projects.
- Provide coaching, development and guidance to direct reports and/or team members, encouraging them to promote a Lean culture and to develop with emerging technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the site to align with deployed corporate strategic goals.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise and mentor a team of Project Managers, Field Engineers, Site Leads, and Technicians responsible for installing, maintaining and decommissioning network infrastructure in a hyperscale data center environment.
- Oversee the safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of the team, while driving a positive customer experience
- Participate in Strategic planning and forecasting; manage team and individual performance; delivering performance reviews, and address staffing needs.
- Mentor, train and develop career progression for direct reports and members of the organization.
- Obsess over team learning and development, both from a technical/functional and soft skills development perspective.
- Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
- Maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting to drive awareness and decision-making. Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations.
- Travel: This position is generally expected to require overnight travel. The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (6+ years) required.
- OSHA 30 certified preferred.
- Knowledge of general building codes and BICSI Standards.
Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years' experience managing structured cabling and integrated systems projects.
- Extensive experience managing large scale multi-million-dollar project work across different construction vertical markets.
- Experience managing critical infrastructure data center projects highly preferred.
- Experienced in the management of multiple contractual types and vehicles - lump sum, cost plus / GMP, unit price, design-build / design-assist, time, and material.
- Experience managing construction teams of 50-100+ technicians on project sites.
- Product experience with industry leading manufacturers.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Decision making and judgment: The position involves projects and/or assignments requiring considerable decision-making authority regarding procedures, plans and schedules. Must be proficient in structured problem solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine best feasible solutions.
- Deep understanding of industry specific estimating and engineering best practices.
- Ability to identify change events and implement change management best practices.
- Knowledge of various construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards.
- Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and cost forecasting.
- Able to report and readout project information to all stakeholders as needed or required.
- Working knowledge of the PMBOK Guidelines and Standards.
- Ability to build and develop a project schedule.
- Advanced project management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
- Demonstrated coaching, team building and conflict resolution skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
