Roles and responsibilities
We are looking for a seasoned engineer with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) experience to join the Trade Distribution System (TDS) software development team to advance and enhance reliability practices, with a strong focus on testing, monitoring, and maintaining system performance.
Roles and responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of infrastructure
+ Work closely with developers to ensure the system is designed and scaled according to SLO's
+ Automate tasks and create tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of testing
+ Define, document, and perform tests required to meet committed non-functional requirements
+ Participate in capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning
+ Ensure compliance with security policy and best practices
Required Qualifications
+ 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated one or combination of following: work experience, military experience, education
+ 5+ years of experience in supporting enterprise level complex applications and platforms
+ 5+ years of experience in building and debugging Java/C#, Python software artifacts
+ 5+ years of experience working with automation and monitoring tools (Ansible, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk)
+ 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise level complex applications and platforms in production
+ Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix/MS operating systems
+ Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
+ Experience with infrastructure scripting (Shell/Python)
+ Knowledge of network protocols, IP networks, DNS, routing, and firewalls
+ Experience with OAuth, Certificate Management, TCL/SSL and Kerberos
+ Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB , storage systems: SAN, NAS)
+ Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking
