The Ski Patroller 1 is responsible for enhancing the safety of ski terrain and providing emergency medical response to injured persons by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Conduct trail checks in prior to opening and trail sweeps at closing which requires the patroller to safely ski all terrain accessible
- Provide emergency medical response to injured and ill guests on the mountain and around the resort.
- Facilitate transportation of injured and ill persons to definitive care facilities, which includes operating loaded toboggans in all accessible terrain
- Demonstrate proficiency in ground based lift evacuation
- Check, maintain, and transport equipment and supplies around the resort as necessary for the operation of the ski area
- Operate a snow machine in accordance with resort guidelines
- Attend all required training
- Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related, or unrelated to original position.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Outdoor Emergency Care, BLS CPR/AED required.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
- GPS and Search and Rescue organization
- Rope Access and understanding of all protection standards
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must have Mountain travel and rescue experience.
