About the Job
Clement Manor is a faith-based independent living, assisted living, CBRF and long-term care community, nationally recognized for providing a superior quality environment for older adults. We are currently looking for a Full-Time and Part-Time CMA, willing to work 2nd shift. The Certified Medication Assistant is CNA who completed a Medication Assistant Training Program. The Certified Medication Assistant administers scheduled oral medication under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This position will also do CNA duties as assigned based on staffing needs and resident census. Previous experience in a similar setting is helpful. These positions will require every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.

6:45am-3:15pm; Part Time
2:45pm-11:15pm; Part Time & Full Time
Education Required:
Wisconsin certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and:
Completion of the State of Wisconsin approved Medication Assistant Training Program
- OR –
Completion of one clinical rotation with medication administration in an RN or LPN education program.
- OR –
Has unsuccessfully passed Nursing Boards and may continue as a MA for a maximum of 1 year or until has successfully completed the exam.
Minimum Experience Preferred:
Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Additional Essential knowledge & abilities required for (Certified) Medication Assistants:
- Knowledge of medication actions, medication effects on body systems, and side effects, especially related to the elder (geriatric) resident.
- The ability to understand and effectively carry out verbal and or written instructions. Communication is essential.
- The ability to administer medications to elderly, confused, and emotionally upset residents in a safe and mature manner
- The confidence and tenacity to ask questions anytime the CMA/MA has a question or concern.
- The ability to accurately document the administration of medications.
- Computer knowledge an asset.
- It is the responsibility of the CMA to maintain records for continued eligibility on the registry.
(ie: 100 hours of service and 4 hours of continuing education)
